At least 46 types of counterfeit auto parts, which were sold without a license, were recently seized in Dibba Al Fujairah, the municipality said.

The confiscations took place as local authorities intensified control operations, with 26 inspections carried out from July to August. Seven were fined and 16 warnings issued after violations were recorded.

“Most of the violations committed were commercial fraud,” said engineer Hassan Salem Al Yamahi, director general of Dibba Al Fujairah municipality.

He said the Department of Consumer Protection has made every effort to resolve 34 consumer issues, including service delays, warranty complaints, high prices of goods, and non-completion of required work. .

Al Yamahi also warned traders about unauthorized price hikes and bogus promotions.

“Owners must ensure that sales activities are carried out in accordance with the permits and licenses granted to them,” he added.
