Superflux Beer Company Brings Back Icy-Cool Lager – Canadian Beer News

VANCOUVER, BCSuperflux beer company announced the return of a special collaboration with Icy-Cool Autoa neighborhood car workshop located opposite the brewery.

Cold blonde beer (4% abv) is described simply as “a light lager brewed with Saaz and lager for 8 weeks before packaging.”

Most importantly, it will support an organization worthy of the local community:

Last year we made a beer for the auto shop across the street. Not your typical collab, but they’re cool neighbors. It’s just a simple light lager, but we were really blown away by the response it created. It showed us how important good neighbors are and how much you all seem to appreciate this simple notion. With that in mind, we thought we should revisit why we make this beer, do more of it, and use it as an initiative to raise money for our community. You know, spreading love of neighbor.

In honor of this beer, we will donate $5,000 to Ray-Cam Community Association, a charity operating in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, one of Canada’s poorest postal codes. The Community Association supports the work of the RayCam Co-operative Center which provides low cost programs to youth, families and seniors who live in the area. The programs aim to address the challenges of our community, including food security, safety, and the educational, social and recreational needs of our members.

Icy-Cool Lager is available now – with a limited edition Icy-Cool t-shirt – at the Superflux store and online shop.
