Infineon showcases smart and secure IoT solutions and reliable automotive electronics at CES 2022

This moderated 40-minute panel will include Infineon’s vice president of power and sensor solutions, Preet Sibia, as well as executives from Google, Blumio, Texas Instruments and Ford.

“Reinventing innovation” with smart IoT solutions

The company will showcase a wide range of sensors, microcontrollers and power electronics for the IoT. Demonstrations will include XENSIV â„¢ radar sensors to help devices detect motion; REAL3 â„¢ range of 3D imagers with highly integrated time-of-flight (ToF) sensors; XENSIV PAS CO2 sensor to monitor CO2 in the environment; a smart sleep monitor to monitor breathing using Infineon’s XENSIV 60 GHz mm wave radar chip, developed in collaboration with Tsingray Technology; intelligent switching solutions in collaboration with Amber; and a range of USB-PD chargers and adapters.

Solutions to secure and connect the IoT

Successful IoT solutions rely on secure connectivity from any device and any location, and Infineon’s demonstrations will show how the business creates trust in the digital world that empowers users, businesses and organizations to unlock the full potential of IoT. Innovations highlighted in this category include the company’s AIROC â„¢ Bluetooth devices for audio and IoT applications; CIRRENT â„¢ Cloud ID recently launched by Infineon, a service that automates cloud certificate provisioning and device-to-cloud IoT authentication; the OPTIGA â„¢ Authenticate S, a hardware security solution for any device authentication challenge, and the OPTIGA Trust M – a premium security solution that provides a trusted anchor to connect IoT devices to the cloud.

Reliable electronics for the future of mobility

To “rethink innovation” with reliable electronics, the company will highlight the semiconductor backbone of technologies that support automotive megatrends: electromobility, automated driving, connectivity and cybersecurity. Drawing on decades of automotive expertise, the demonstrations will highlight reliable electronics for cybersecurity, sensor fusion and vehicle electrification.

Solutions include the Semper â„¢ NOR family of flash memories for critical security functions, as well as SEMPER secure flash memory; the REAL3 automotive imager based on 3D ToF technology for precise and robust depth detection; and Infineon’s proven lines of automotive microcontrollers TRAVEO â„¢ and TRAVEO II for conventional, hybrid and virtual instrument clusters.

Exclusive showcase for audio electronics

Infineon will also showcase its MERUS â„¢ audio amplifier integrated circuits, with a preview of new features to come. The company’s extensive portfolio of easier-to-use, smarter, and greener audio amplifiers will be showcased in a private suite at The Venetian.

CES Innovation Prize winners

Infineon’s XENSIV PAS CO2 sensor has been selected as CES 2022 Innovation Award Winner in the “Smart Cities” category. The company’s Semper secure flash memory was also selected as the Innovation Award winner in the “Cybersecurity and Personal Privacy” category.
